The Emmerdale Village Tour will return in 2021.

Why are we suspending Emmerdale Village tours?

As a precautionary measure, and in line with our established contingency plans across the business, we will temporarily be pausing operation of our set tours to enable us to manage the footfall in these areas helping us to ensure we continue to produce these key ITV shows and for the safety and welfare of all our staff, production teams and guests.

What about Covid-19 (Coronavirus)?

We have been following government advice in terms of preventative measures on all our tours and sites (see below for more details). Temporarily pausing operation of our tours is an additional measure to help safeguard our staff and guests

As you plan your visit to us we want to assure you that we are actively monitoring the situation with regards to Covid-19 (coronavirus) and are reviewing and following the guidelines of Public Health England.

As always, the safety and wellbeing of you, our guests, and our team is our priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure everyone’s continued welfare. The advice from the health authorities has not changed, so our attractions are operating as normal and standard terms and conditions on bookings continue to apply.

However there are things we can do... read more about them here: a polite reassurance for our Guests.

Where can I park / nearest car park?

Your journey starts at The Emmerdale Studio, from where you will get our coach transfer to the closed set. There is limited street parking in the vicinity. If you are driving, we advise you use a car park for the duration of your stay.
The nearest car park is the Leeds City Council pay and display car park on Burley Road, just in front of the Emmerdale Studio. Alternative parking can be found at Kirkstall Road, LS3 1JA just around the corner and a 7 minute walk from the studio.

How long is the tour / visit?

Please allow approximately 3.5 hours for your visit. This will include your complimentary coach transfers to and from the meeting point at Emmerdale Studio.
Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your coach is due to depart.

Where is Emmerdale Village?

Your visit with us will start at the Emmerdale Studio which is located on Burley Road in Leeds City Centre. The address is 27 Burley Road, Leeds, LS3 1JT. From there you will be transported to the village via coach.

Is the experience suitable for children?

Although we welcome children, this is a 2-hour fully-guided tour and some of the footage from the show throughout the experience is taken from dramatic storylines in Emmerdale’s history. You therefore may want to consider whether the tour is suitable for your children. Regrettably, pushchairs are not allowed on the tour.

Is there anywhere I can leave my bags?

We’re sorry but there isn’t any secure space for guests to leave luggage or additional bags. We would recommend leaving these at your hotel or if you are travelling by public transport there are left luggage facilities at Leeds Train Station. Due to visiting working sets, there are strict security guidelines regarding bags which can be found here.

Will my bag be checked when I visit?

For their safety and security, all visitors are admitted subject to a condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched before entry.

Can a wheelchair user still go on a tour?

The 90-minute, outdoor tour covers rough terrain, gradients, slopes and grass. Manual wheelchair users may need to bring a personal asssitant with them. We have a small number of parking spaces available at the Village for those from whom coach travel will be difficult. For full details on eligibility please see our full access statement. Please note the tour can only accommodate one wheelchair user per tour so please call us before booking on 01904 261262 to check availability. You can find out more about accessibility here.

Can I hire a wheelchair for the tour?

We do not offer wheelchair hire for the tour, but we are fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Can I bring my dog on the tour?

Sorry, dogs are not allowed on the tour with the exception of registered guide dogs. If you wish to visit with an assistance dog, please ensure you have formal identification for the dog with you and email or call us in advance to let us know.

Tickets for the village tour are released in stages throughout the year. Please follow our social media channels for the latest tour updates and ticket releases.

Is there a café & gift shop?

Yes, there is a café at the Emmerdale Village Tour serving delicious hot and cold food. A range of coffee, tea and cold drinks are available as well as a large variety of snacks and light bites… and of course some delicious cakes!

We also have a fantastic gift shop where you can browse our range of Emmerdale merchandise, unique gifts and memorabilia. Unfortunately, we are unable to send any of the items in the gift shop by post.

Although we do not provide overnight accommodation, there are a large number of places to stay in Leeds. To help you decide on which location is right for you, please see our 'Where to Stay' blog.

Is there a chance to meet any actors / cast members?

Although filming does happen at the village during the week, actors will not be present during your tour as they will be having a well earned weekend off! You will however see examples of real sets they use, and hear secrets about the production of Emmerdale.

Will I be able to have a drink in the Woolpack?

Unfortunately 'The Woolpack' will not be open for business, but we do have a fully functioning café serving delicious hot and cold food and drinks.

Can we get married at Emmerdale Village?

Unfortunately, we do not have a marriage licence so you cannot get married at the Emmerdale The Village Tour.
