WHEN IS THE EMMERDALE VILLAGE TOUR OPEN?

The Emmerdale Village Tour is located on a live working set, as such our opening hours can vary depending on the production schedule.
For the most accurate opening times, please head to our ‘Book Now’ page for all the up to date tour times and availability.
We reserve the right to withdraw a date from sale, subject to demand or production schedules.

WHY IS THERE AN ADDITIONAL £2 CHARGE FOR HAREWOOD AND WHAT IS THIS FOR?

Emmerdale is filmed deep within the Harewood Estate.

To gain access to the film set location, we run a park and ride service from the Harewood House visitor car park.

Our park and ride service with Harewood costs just £2pp and whilst it is obligatory, it offers our guests access to the grounds, gardens, café and facilities either before and/or after your tour. Please note, this charge includes access to Harewood’s grounds, gardens, and the house. Some of the other chargeable activities are also not included.

Please note: The Harewood Trust is a charity, so all contributions made go towards a range of projects, whether that be vital conservation and maintenance work to preserve the historic fabric of the house; work to develop and maintain the expansive grounds, gardens and facilities, or to support of their education and community programmes. Your support helps to ensure Harewood is here for the long-term enjoyment of all visitors. Registered Charity Number 517753

WHAT DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE?

The Guided Tour tickets are available weekends and bank holidays only, which involves a guided tour of the show’s external set as well as transport to and from our designated meeting point.

Our Star Tours are available on select weekends and include a meet and greet with a cast member, a guided tour of the show’s external set as well as transport to and from our designated meeting point.
We do not offer any tours of the show’s live interior sets.

WHY DOESN’T THE EMMERDALE VILLAGE TOUR COACH DEPART FROM HAREWOOD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR?

Due to a number of high-profile events taking place at Harewood House this year, parking at the estate is not always possible. As a result, Emmerdale Village Tour coaches will depart from Weetwood Hall Hotel* on the following dates:

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A STANDARD TOUR AND A STAR TOUR?

With a standard tour, this is no opportunity to meet a member of the cast at the end of your Emmerdale Village. However, with one of our very popular Star Tours, you’ll have the chance to meet and greet a surprise member of the cast. For more information and to book see our page here

WHICH CAST MEMBER WILL I MEET ON MY STAR TOUR?

You will meet a surprise cast member during your tour and have the chance to have your photograph taken with them on your own device.

CAN I PICK WHICH CAST MEMBER WILL I MEET?

Due to the actors’ busy schedules, we cannot guarantee any specific cast member on any specific day, nor are we able to take any requests.

CAN I PAY WITH CASH IN THE VILLAGE?

We do not accept cash.
If you want to purchase a refreshment on your visit, or even grab one of David’s Shop bags, be sure to bring a credit or debit card with you.

HOW LONG IS THE TOUR / VISIT?

Please allow approximately 3 hours for your visit.

WHERE IS EMMERDALE VILLAGE?

The Emmerdale Village Tour is a private location located just outside Leeds. We will collect you from the designated meeting point location (either Harewood House or Weetwood Hall Hotel – please refer to meeting point information for more details), and take you via a coach transfer to the village film set.

WHERE IS THE CLOSEST TRAIN STATION?

The best train station to use is Leeds train station. From there you can get a taxi or alternatively there is a bus* that can take you to the village of Harewood. It is approximately a 1.25 mile walk from there to the meeting point.

*No 36 to Harewood from Leeds and Harrogate runs every 15 minutes during the day Monday to Saturday, and every 30 minutes during the day on Sunday. For more details please call Harrogate and District on 01423 566061 or click here to visit their website.

HOW CAN I GET TO THE EMMERDALE VILLAGE TOUR IF I DON'T DRIVE?

There is limited public transport to our meeting point. There are some bus routes that take you as far as Harewood village, it is approximately a 1.25 mile walk from there to the meeting point.

If you don’t drive, pre-booking a taxi is often the most convenient solution.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO VISIT?

Standard tour tickets are priced from £35.00 per person.

DO YOU OFFER FREE CARERS TICKETS?

We offer free carers tickets (one per full price-ticket) after showing relevant documentation to the Admissions team.
We accept:
• Proof of government benefit (such as DLA, PIP or carers allowance)
• Blue badge
• Carers card
Carers tickets can be pre-booked online alongside all paid tickets. Any booking with a carers ticket attached will drive directly to site and will not take the coach transfer. 48 hours prior to your booking, you will then receive an email with additional information for driving directly to site.
If you need more than two carers tickets per booking, please email info@emmerdalevillagetour.co.uk.

HOW CAN I BOOK A CARERS TICKETS

When booking tickets online, proceed through the booking process by adding your main tickets to the booking journey and selecting your dates. Once you get to the page titled ‘Added Extras’ this is where you add on carer tickets.

IS THE EMMERDALE VILLAGE TOUR ACCESSIBLE FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS?

There are some uneven surfaces on the tour that might be challenging for wheelchair users. The 90-minute, outdoor tour covers rough terrain, gradients, slopes and grass.

We do suggest that manual wheelchair users are likely to need to bring a personal assistant with them as a result of the uneven terrain, and guests who use either a wheelchair or a mobility scooter would need to be capable of passing through a standard door opening. Assistance in manoeuvring any wheelchairs or mobility scooters cannot be provided by tour staff.

HOW DO I VISIT IF I'M UNABLE TO USE THE COACH TRANSFER?

HOW DO I REDEEM MY GIFT VOUCHERS?

If you experience any issues redeeming your vouchers, please email info@emmerdalevillagetour.co.uk with the following details:

  • the type of voucher you would like to redeem
  • the unique voucher code
  • the issue date
  • the date and time you would ideally like to visit (all available dates are currently on our website)

Please note: vouchers that consist of a five-character code expired on 31st July and can no longer be redeemed.

DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?

Yes! To avoid disappointment, we recommend pre-booking as popular time slots sell out quickly. We do not accept walk-up bookings therefore pre-booking guarantees your tour time. That being said, if you happen to be in the vicinity of Harewood, please check our online booking calendar for any last minute availability.

 

IS THE EXPERIENCE SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?

Whilst we welcome children, this is a 90-minute fully-guided tour with around 5,000 steps. Therefore, you may wish to consider whether the tour is suitable for your children.

IS THERE ANYWHERE I CAN LEAVE MY BAGS?

Unfortunately, we do not have a secure space for guests to leave luggage or additional bags. We would recommend leaving these at your hotel, or if travelling by public transport, there are luggage facilities at Leeds Train Station. Due to visiting working sets, there are strict security guidelines regarding bags which can be found here.

 

WILL MY BAG BE CHECKED WHEN I VISIT?

For their safety and security, all visitors are admitted subject to a condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched before entry.

 

CAN A WHEELCHAIR USER STILL GO ON A TOUR?

The 90-minute outdoor tour is hilly in places, and covers rough terrain, gradients, and grass. Manual wheelchair users may need to be accompanied by an assistant. We have a small number of parking spaces available at the village. The Admissions Team will be able to issue a parking permit for this upon check in. CAN I HIRE A WHEELCHAIR OR A MOBILITY SCOOTER FOR THE TOUR?

We do not have any wheelchairs or mobility scooters available for hire on site.

DO I NEED TO INFORM YOU THAT I AM, OR VISITING WITH, A WHEELCHAIR USER?

You do not need to let us know in advance if you are a wheelchair user or are visiting with a wheelchair user.

CAN I BRING MY ASSISTANCE DOG ON THE TOUR?

We allow assistance dogs on the tour. We ask that you email us in advance to with your booking info@emmerdalevillagetour.co.uk details.

IS THERE A CAFÉ & GIFT SHOP?

Yes, there is a small unit at the Emmerdale Village Tour serving hot and cold drinks as well as a variety of snacks and light bites.

We also have a fantastic gift shop where you can browse our range of Emmerdale merchandise, unique gifts and memorabilia. Unfortunately, we are unable to send any of the items in the gift shop by post.

DO YOU PROVIDE HOTEL ACCOMMODATION?

Although we do not provide overnight accommodation, there are a variety of lovely places to stay in Leeds including Weetwood Hall Hotel.

WILL I BE ABLE TO MEET A CAST MEMBER?

You can meet a cast member on our Star Tours, please see the corresponding section below.

 

HOW LONG IS MY EXPERIENCE.?

Both our Guided Tours and Star Tours are approximately 90 minutes long (for Star Tours, this includes the meet and greet with the cast member). The whole experience, from meeting point collection to returning to the meeting point, is approximately 3 hours.

WILL THERE BE ANYWHERE TO GET A DRINK AND SNACK?

We offer hot & cold drinks and light snacks at the start and end of the tour, sold from within our Visitor Centre. Those booked onto tours departing from Harewood House will have the opportunity to explore the grounds of Harewood House and make use of their café before or after their tour.

WILL I BE ABLE TO HAVE A DRINK IN THE WOOLPACK?

Unfortunately, ‘The Woolpack’ is a working external set. However, we do have a small unit serving hot and cold drinks and a variety of snacks and light bites.

CAN WE GET MARRIED AT EMMERDALE VILLAGE?

We do not have a marriage licence, therefore cannot offer wedding services at the Emmerdale Village Tour.

DO YOU KEEP LOST PROPERTY?

We hold on to all lost property for a limited time. If you think you may have left something behind during your visit, please email us at info@emmerdalevillagetour.co.uk. Sending lost property out will be subject to postal charges (depending upon the size and weight of the package). We accept no responsibility for lost items.

DO ITV RUN ANY OTHER TOURS OR ATTRACTIONS?

Yes! You can visit the Coronation Street set at The Coronation Street Experience in Manchester.

DO YOU SELL ANY OFFICIAL EMMERDALE MERCHANDISE?

Yes, we have a small range available to buy on arrival and departure at the tour. You can also visit the Emmerdale section of the official ITV Shop to see our tote bags, aprons and reusable cups – all as seen on the telly.

CAN I BRING SOMEONE TO HAREWOOD WITH ME WHO IS NOT BOOKED ONTO AN EMMERDALE VILLAGE TOUR?

Harewood reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone in your car who is either not booked onto an Emmerdale Village Tour, or who has not purchased a valid Harewood ticket. However, if anyone is accompanying you to Harewood on the day and wishes to remain on the property while you enjoy your tour, they will need to purchase a full price Harewood admission ticket at the gate.

DO I NEED TO PRE-BOOK WITH A VOUCHER?

All vouchers need to be redeemed for a specific date/time on the website. We cannot guarantee availability on the day.

HOW DO I REDEEM A VOUCHER CODE OR GIFT VOUCHER?

All vouchers need to be redeemed for a specific date/time on the website. We cannot guarantee availability on the day.

• Please head to our webpage and click ‘Redeem Voucher’, then:
• Enter your full voucher code and click add voucher.
• Choose date and time you would like to attend, click book now.
• Choose any extras you would like to add, choose basket in the bottom right-hand corner.
• Press checkout.
• The next page will ask you to either log in, create an account or checkout as guest, please continue with the most suitable option, we suggest creating an account.
• Please continue until you are provided with a booking reference number for your order, please make a note of your booking reference number.

HOW LONG ARE VOUCHERS VALID FOR?

Any vouchers purchased directly through us are valid for twelve months from date of purchase. Your visit must take place before the expiry date on the voucher.

If you have a third party voucher, you will need to contact the vendor directly regarding this.

CAN I EXTEND MY VOUCHERS?

Any vouchers purchased directly through us are only extended in exceptional circumstances and we retain absolute discretion as to whether a voucher will be extended. Your visit must take place before the expiry date on the voucher. Your validity period includes January and other closures.

CAN YOU SEND MY VOUCHER IN THE POST?

All our vouchers are digital and are sent as email attachments which can be printed out. We unfortunately do not send any vouchers out physically.

MY VOUCHER WON'T WORK OR WON'T LET ME BOOK A DATE

If your voucher won’t work, please check the expiry date on your voucher. All visits must take place before the expiry date on the voucher.

If you had already made a booking with your voucher and it was postponed, the voucher is now void and we often need to process rescheduled bookings manually. Please email us info@emmerdalevillagetour.co.uk with your original booking reference number and the specific date/time you’d like to reschedule to for us to process this.

DO YOU PROVIDE FREE ADMISSION FOR REGISTERED CARERS?

CAN I UPGRADE MY VOUCHER TO A STAR TOUR?

WHEN ARE THE NEXT SET OF DATES GOING LIVE/CAN I BOOK A TOUR ON A DATE NOT YET RELEASED?

Due to hectic filming schedules and to avoid the need for tour cancellations, tickets are released in phases. However, to be one of the first to know when tickets go on sale please sign up to our newsletter

DO YOU OFFER A NHS/BLUELIGHT DISCOUNT?

Yes, we offer a 15% discount for all bluelight holders and NHS workers. This discount is bookable using the code ‘ BLCSE15’ for  standard tours and is subject to availability.

WHY HAVEN'T I RECEIVED MY BOOKING CONFIRMATION?

Please email us info@emmerdalevillagetour.co.uk with as many booking details as possible (name on booking, booking reference number and the date/time) for us to look into this for you. Please allow 72 hours for our team to respond.

THE DATE I WANT ISN'T AVAILABLE ON THE BOOKING PAGE

There could be a number of reasons for this: The full experience and Star Tours only operate on select weekends and bank holidays due to the demands of the production.

We release tickets periodically through the year, so you may also be looking too far ahead at the moment. You may want to sign up to our email alerts once the new ticket dates go on sale so we can drop you an email to let you know.

CAN I RESCHEDULE MY BOOKING?

You are able to reschedule your booking up to 48 hours before the booking time. Please email us info@emmerdalevillagetour.co.uk with your booking details (name on booking, booking reference number and the date/time you’d like to reschedule to) for us to process this for you. We reserve the right to charge for any amendment made to bookings.

CAN MY BOOKING BE REFUNDED?

Bookings are non-refundable as per terms and conditions of booking.

CAN I ADD TICKETS TO MY BOOKING?

If we have availability, you will be able to book additional tickets in the same slot via our ‘Book Now’ page.

If you are looking to add a child (our system will not allow you to book a child ticket individually) or cannot see any availability in the same slot, please email us with your booking details (name on info@emmerdalevillagetour.co.uk booking, booking reference number and the date/time of your booking) for us to look into this for you.

MY BOOKING WAS POSTPONED AND NOW IT WON'T LET ME REBOOK

We often need to process rescheduled bookings manually. Please email us info@emmerdalevillagetour.co.uk with your original booking reference number and the specific date/time you’d like to reschedule to for us to process this. (Please allow 72 hours).

DO YOU HAVE CHILD TICKETS AVAILABLE?

We don’t have child tickets currently available, this is because of limited capacities on the coach.

Under 4s go free – these are added later in the booking process. After you have selected the date/time, you will be prompted to add any under 4s. However, don’t worry if you forget to do this/don’t see this option, we will admit any under 4s on the day for free.

HOW DOES THE CORONATION STREET AND EMMERDALE PACKAGE WORK?

The Coronation Street Experience and Emmerdale Village Tour package deal is an exciting way to visit both of our attractions.

When booking this, you will be prompted to select a date/time for the Emmerdale Village Tour. You will then be sent voucher codes for the Coronation Street, which will be valid for one year from date of purchase.
You do not need to take both of these tours on the same day and we do not offer any transport between the two sites.
