Location & Parking FAQs

Emmerdale Village is located just outside of Leeds. On most weekends, tours will depart from the grounds of Harewood House. We recommend guests use the LS17 9LQ postcode as this will bring you straight to Harewood Approach where you’ll find the main archway entrance, just off the A61.

There is limited public transport to our meeting point.

  • By train: The best train station to use is Leeds Train Station. From there you can get a taxi or catch the number 36 bus that can take you to the village of Harewood.
  • By bus: Bus number 36 to Harewood from Leeds and Harrogate runs every 15 minutes during the day between Monday and Saturday, and every 30 minutes during the day on Sunday. It is approximately a 1.25 mile walk from the bus stop to the meeting point. For more details, please call Harrogate and District on 01423 566061 or click here to visit their website.

To gain access to the film set location, we have partnered with Harewood House Trust to offer a combined ticket for an additional £2.30 PP to offer our guests access to the house*, grounds, gardens, café and facilities either before and/or after your tour (please check Harewood’s website or map for further details). All visitors must have a valid Emmerdale Tour or Harewood Day Ticket to access the site.
 *The House is subject to availability and due to seasonal events may not be offered on all Emmerdale Village Tour dates. 
Please note: Harewood House Trust is a charity, so all contributions made go towards a range of projects, whether that be vital conservation and maintenance work to preserve the historic fabric of the house; work to develop and maintain the expansive grounds, gardens and facilities, or to support of their education and community programmes. Due to a number of large events taking place at Harewood House, guest parking for the Emmerdale Village Tour is not always possible.
